Micah C. Allred
Associate
Micah is a litigator with experience in state and federal court. He has litigated a broad variety of matters, including commercial contract disputes, legal malpractice suits, class actions, insurance claims, environmental torts, trust and estate issues, commercial real estate foreclosures, and labor and employment claims. Micah has experience at every stage of the litigation process, including dispositive motions, trials, and appeals.
Micah has also represented clients in pro bono matters, helping refugees present their claims for asylum to the U.S. Customs and Immigration Services Office and federal immigration courts.
Before joining the firm, Micah served as a judicial law clerk to Chief Judge Raúl Arias-Marxuach of the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. In that role, Micah assisted with both criminal and civil cases.
Micah worked previously as a litigation associate at Kelley Drye & Warren in New York, where he began his legal career after graduating from law school.
As a law student, Micah served as an editor of the Notre Dame Law Review and a managing editor of its online publication, Reflection. He was also awarded a Best Speaker Award as a first-year student in his Legal Research & Writing II section.
In 2024, Micah published an article titled, An Originalist Approach to Puerto Rico: Arguments Against the Status Quo, which addresses the constitutionality of Puerto Rico’s status as an indefinitely held territory.
Micah speaks Spanish, having lived and worked in Central America. He is also an Eagle Scout and has climbed many of the Pacific Northwest’s highest peaks.
